Chelation
Chelation is the process by which the body rids itself of toxic substances. Chelating agents help the body to remove the metals. A doctor needs to write a prescription and monitor the chelation. There are many different types of chelating agents available - oral, transdermal, IV, suppositories. These presentations offer clinician panel discussions of chelation strategies and explanations of the role chelation plays in recovery for some children.
